ABOUT JYDERUP HØJSKOLE
The school takes home in an old castle located in the the beautiful nature of Nord-west Zealand (an island in Denmark), one hour by train from the capital Copenhagen. You live, eat, sleep and learn at the school and you share a room with a roommate. The school is a creative enviroment and we have lectures or concerts once a week about various topics such as free-jazz, history, traditional folk-music, politics, experimental electronic music and much more.
At Jyderup Højskole we provide 6 different main subjects that students can apply for: Musik, Electronic Music, Environmental politics/Permaculture, Danish culture studies, Weaving and Fine Arts. Besides these subjects, we provide workshops and side-subjects such as Creative Writing, Guitar lessons, basic electronic music, “outdoor living”, art, piano lessons, singing lessons, Litterature, Film, band practice (“playing together”), graffiti, cultural entrepreneurship, art exhibition curation and more.
The school does not involve any kind of tests or examination, but you will receive a document of attendance
