NORDIC OUTDOOR LIFE

Connecting to nature

Nordic Outdoor Life at Jyderup Folk High School means great nature experiences and classical outdoor disciplines such as canoeing, kayaking and climbing. It is also about socializing and being together that will be in focus whether hiking in the woods, kayaking on the Isefjord, canoe trips on Tissø or climbing up between Jyderup’s wooden crowns.

We learn to be present in nature, sense the shifts of the seasons and immerse in the silence and sounds of nature. There will be time for wonder and reflection when we deal with some of these slower and reflective elements of outdoor life.

Nordic Outdoor Life is a good mix of immersion, action and community. We guarantee that your boundaries will pushed both physically and mentally. It requires no prerequisites to participate, but you should want to be challenged and be prepared for highly cohesive and potentially addictive outdoor activities.

Nordic outdoor life cooperates with:

Skarresø and Jyderup Folk High School are part of Åmosen Nature Park which is our playground. The school has access to shelters and a wood fired sauna, and there are many opportunities out and about where we will hike or go bike riding.
